is this thing as accurate as they say it is and if so has anybody here tried it also what kinda time did u get off of it

i'm pretty sure it's the most accurate of measurment devices that don't hook up to your ecu. having said that, there's a + or - of something around 10% which is up to a 20% fluxuation. depending on what you're measuring, it can be a small amount or a very large amount of discrepancy. it's best to look at using one of these things as giving an approximation of ABOUT what your car is doing. don't treat it as if it's a dyno or something, because it WILL be off. hope this helped a little.

Their accuracy is a relative thing, being a device that measure the force of acceleration over time, it can misrepresent information just from launching differently can make it show a difference of 1-50hp.

Having said that, they can be a useful tool for monitoring the effect of individual mods, providing you can launch consistently run after run, and it's mounted in exactly the same position for each run, it will be of use.
