Once the bolts are out, how is the best way to break the seal to the block. The service manual shows a special tool being used to be hammered into the gasket gap. I can't see having enough room to do this. What works best? Thanx

A rubber mallet or a regular hammer and a piece of wood block. Tap the pan firmly on the side of the pan and it should pop off.

You shouldn't try to pry it off as you may damage the sealing area on the pan lip.
