I recently fot some reason recently fell in love with the 90-93 galants. I am thinking about purchasing a all wheel drive one with the 63 na and awd.

I would love to have an vr4, but since I live in Canada, no luck.

Could you please tell me all things good, and all things bad so I know what I am getting in to.

I took one for a test drive abd it was incredible. Absolutly MINT, 140000KM. Full load. He wants $5000.00 cdn. I thought that it was a little high.

All I know is if I get one it will deffinitly have a 63t swap.

In canada we can drive jdm cars pnce they are 15 years old. Would it be worth it and get a low millage jdm one?

What is the difference between the jdm one and the north american one?

Thabk you very much, Any help is really appreciated.

Buy it. The difference between the VR4 and 2000GTX or GSX? i forget now, anyhow, the 2000GSX doesnt have AWD steering and also the VR4 had beefier brakes, other then that there pretty much the same.
Also, 5K is abit high, you coulda bought LILEVO REAL VR4 for 3500USD and you woulda had a beast, thet converts to about the same.
anyhow, it's a great platform, easily swap in a LSD rear end and have TONS of fun.

I don't know if it's a pain to get one from the US or not. But we have a 1990, with 63t in it, but the balance shaft bearing is bad. The front of the motor is off... timing cover, etc... That's how we picked it up, it's white, the body is excellent, interior is fair to good. We're planning on putting it back together, but if someone wanted to buy it as is, wouldn't hurt our feelings. :)

there's nothing beefy about 10.1" f&r rotors. dual piston calipers are neat, but it's such a heavy car it makes no difference.

The VR4 has a taller first and fifth gear. 92 VR4's have dual syncro gears in second I believe.
VR4 has 4WS and larger front brakes, ABS dual color gauge lighting,
and leather interior

GSX trans is a w5m31. The final drive is diffrent also, Thats why the rear diff has to be swapped.

well... I personally like them, when the colt initially got totalled out by a full-size truck, I took the 1000 dollars I got from that and got my galant...

SOME ADVICE THOUGH....

try not to get a 1993 model, thats what I have, and it is a pain in the a$$ to try and get ANY parts for it.... but maybe thats just my luck....

sorry to steal the thread...but...

if anyone reading this can get a good head PM me...

OK, I'm done

Regards
Shawn

Apparently you haven't been driving Hyundai. Tranny on '00. Hyundai Sonata sux big time when compared with tranny in my '91. Lancer. Even '03. Renault Clio 1.6 16v tranny is inferior.

Or maybe it's just my tranny so good.
