I couldnt hit full boost with my TD05 20G in my 90 TSi AWD until 4,000+ RPM. (8.5:1 comp) It had a fully ported 7cm housing/2G manifold/2G O2 housing, so I know it was flowing well. I didnt really think it was all that great on the street, since you needed to downshift anytime you wanted to play in traffic. A bump in displacement would bring that spoolup RPM down, but I think 1500 is quite a bit of an overshot.
Never tried a 20G on a stroker myself though, so I could be wrong...

Why dont you go boost man?
You have a N/A car, build a boosted car.
Why? Because I want a RELIABLE DSM if thats at all possible. And plus I really am all or nothing so if I decided boost was what I wanted I would have had to of bought a FP3065 or similar. I never do ANYTHING half way. Really all I wanted was about 190 to the wheels with a boat load of torque down low that was my goal and I think this will fit the bill quite nicely. Besides this has never been done before and I'm not one to follow the crowd. Anyone who knows me should know that quite well.

UPDATE

I picked the engine up today man that is one bad peice of machinery! Looks so good I don't want put it in it looks like it belongs in my living room as a peice of furniture. So clean I could eat off it. I have to give a big hats off to Lance @ Percision Cylinderhead in Georgetown he hooked me up with a fully built block at a fantastic price quality is second to none. I will snap some photos of the long block tomorrow I'll be attaching my manifold and such. Still unsure of what I'm doing for a tranny I believe I will do an IPT unit just gotta figure out how to get it across the border. I got some Ideas gotta make some calls.

Actualy it kinda has, it was done in sean glazzers old mirage, when the car was sold it was going to be a all motor pro car, and jacksons auto machine built a killer 2.4 for it, under gage order as to what was in it, only it spun a bearing 4th pull on dyno, those motors really just don't like to spin out to 9-10k at all. But don't let that take away form you, my one piece of advice is keep it under 7500 rpm and you will stay happy. I forgot what auto trans you where going to use FWD DSM Turbo? If so do you happen to know the gear ratio been having trouble pinning that down in the manuals.

Forgot the whole reasson I told that whole story, That 2.4 made 300+ so I think your 190ish goal is quite reassonable and attanable. Good luck

Yeah, my Spyder (stock 8.5:1) easily spools my BR 20G by 3K -- and that's to 21-22psi on the street. A 4G64 with a little bit of compression would do what Geoff said.
