Damn ISC was blown on my Lantra and the 4G61T motorin the Excel! Only 1 of the coils was blown however and it was the same primary coil on both ISCs! I made one good ISC out of the 2 bad ones.

Anybody know a good source of the ISC coils by themselves?

This IS possible? 8) Could you elaborate some sort of how-to on that?

Hrm... except other bad ISCs, no. I don't know if other ISCs form other cars/makes may have the same internals.

my bro just bought another mitsu too, a 91 galant with the 4g63 SOHC. it was next to this rundown house that was occupied by people who quite obviously didnt have "real" jobs and just fixed cars to get money to get their next fix so they could keep fixing cars...and so on.

well, stealthpony bought this car for $100 cash and drove it away  the only prob is it didnt have tags, so I had to follow him.
On the drive back home I kept seeing little sparks flying out from under the car, so I fell back a ways to see if anything was dragging. nope. this was at night, so my headlights were on, and I couldnt see untill later that his exhaust pipe was slowly heating up untill I caught a brief glimpse of what looked like neon under the galant. yep. his ENTIRE exhause system was glowing hot, from flexpipe to muffler, all bright orange! when I shut my lights off, it was like I was looking at a car with neon.
Since we had to get home, he said, "fcuk it, lets just hurry" and we drove it the rest of the ten mile trip.
I now think of that car as the "gaylant" factory equipped with homo-glow

oh, and that 5th-downshift-second move has been used by my bro as well, on the freeway, he had it punched to go up a hill, and ended up limping home at 30mph in 3rd, the clutch looked like a cat that had fell into a blender

Heh, well, it doesnt seem to have effected my car in any way, still going strong and this happened a few years ago, luckily i shoved the clutch in as soon as i did it!

I accidentally performed that shifting maneuver myself! Thats when i found the rev limiter at 7200rpm! It shot up and bounced on the limiter before i could jerk my foot off the pedal. Luckily the ole 4g15 is pretty forgiving if you drive at the limiter.
