Has anyone tried the 2.0 turbo camshaft in the 1.6? what were the results?

Has anyone tried any aftermarket cams in the 2.0? and what were the results?

lol - those sound like exam questions...

When we took our 1.6 crank to the shop to get looked at they gave us 63t back and it was the wrong size.

i'm running the 1g exhaust cam...but too many variables changed at the same time (+a couple psi boost, cut off muffler, about a year since it had been drivable) to have any kind of objective opinion. it was explained to me, by someone much more knowledgable in these matters that was helping me rebuild the engine that the 1g exhaust cam would probably increase top end power and provide a little bit more valve overlap (to spool the turbo more quickly). not very informative, but i can vouch for the fact that 1g cams won't blow up your engine...and that's gotta be worth something....

I ran a 264/272 combo before on my 4G63T and it was ok, I felt my bottom end was robbed alittle power but mid range to top was very impressive while using a 16G that was ported.

I am now moving up to a 276/276 set of cams from webcams.
I feel it will work well with a turbo thats deisgned to deliver both top and bottom end power, TFO7 VGT(Variable Geometry Turbo).

I will post some pics once I figure out how to on this site. :axe:
