I have a JDM Dual Runner Cyclone Intake. I know alot of controversy has been spread across the net as in it works or it doesnt. Personally for my up to now, it has worked very well. I used the stock boost controller valve from the Mirage and a boost pressure sensor from Napa. I got all of this from a guy who figured it all out long ago.

Anyways my additional runners start to open at about 5PSI of boost.
I can really feel it in the seat of the pants meter!!!

There isnt much controversy over it anymore. It works fine, but it was designed to give low end torque, not top end power.

Same peek torque just available lower. Make driving around town easier becuase you don't have to down shift as often. It make a very noticable difference on my Talon. Someone did post his impresion of it on there 4g61t bcak a while. In short the car's power band is stretched 500RPM lower.

^ That is the sort of range and power adding I was hoping to see from this modification.

I'm curious about this. I would like to see the wrtie up on connection. I have a lovely, light purple, powder coated one and a bunch of papers on hookup. What you say is correct. It permits you to start with the long runner that allows torque to come on easier. When you get to a preset boost level, the short runners come on. Nothing gained at the top. Just a smoother application. A very good device. However, FITMENT is a problem. It won't hardly make it in the c-50 with an AC compressor . You have to grind down the bosses. Also, it comes apart into three sections. The inside gaskets are impossible to find. You will have to make your own. Annoying, but not too difficult with gasket material and a small ball-peen hammer.

It's better to switch them over based on RPM than boost. In JDM land they switch over at 4,100rpm and it's controlled via the ECU. If you have an EPROM ECU in your car you can implement the code to actuate the runners. If you hook the manifold up properly it's definitely beneficial. The long runners are 2" longer than a normal US intake manifold and the short runners are 2" shorter than a normal US intake manifold. Better low-end and more top-end, thanks! It really depends on your power goals and what turbo you're using though.

Last I know www.jnztuning.com had the gaskets for sale. Just checked they still list them. :)
