well, today i got it in and everything seems to be running great....def. notice a difference in its pulling power. I did notice 2 things however: 1, i loosened the BISS screw all the way (as in its not even touching the throttle lever any more) and the idle is still a little high, maybe 1000 rpm...2, the idle is surging - when watching the throttle cable, it would move back and forth slightly causing the slight surging....what would cause this?

other than that everything's running great, all the electrical connections matched perfectly though some of the wires were shorter than the original causing me to relocate a couple things

my car is a 1989 dodge colt e, 1.5liter....i was told i believe by Berserko that mine was an 8valve because of the location of the distributor on the driver's side (correct me if i'm wrong)....he had one that def. wouldnt fit mine....and every eclipse 1.8 i found in the junk yard had completely diff types of electrical connections...but i was on ebay one day searching for an eclipse tb and i finally found one off of a "'91 eclipse 1.8 non-turbo" and in the pics i could see the electrical connectors and they looked exactly like mine so i took a risk and bid on it...i think i spent 20 bucks total.....fit perfect, no wire splicing or any surgery on the tb's - i think i just got lucky as crap

here's the pics of it:

Yeah that would be the right TB for you car thats awesome to know... adjust the TPS around you sould be able to make it idle down...When I start mine it adles at 1800rpm for about 5 seconds then drops down to 700 RPM and thats where it idles but play with the BISS and TPS you should be able to make it work...

is it possible that they changed the bolt patterns on the TB after a certain year?
