Can you go into more detail in how the sounds comes about. Is it at idle on throttle. Wide open throttle. Again what did you other plugs look like were they brown or black. Make sure they are gapped to .028 I think. Or atleast thats what its souposed to be on a 63t. If it is differnt ona 61 please somone correct me for I have never owned a 61. Does the metal noise come about at idle. Is it a scrapping long smooth sound does the scrapping increase with RPM is it a steady sound. The more informations and more descriptive you are about it the more we can help you.

the grinding shows up in third gear wot then it is ginding /rattle the sounds like a rod with a loose cap then it slows down to sound like a bad valve and then goes away
