What i did was cut the hose in half that returns the BOV'd air back into the intake, then i got a piece of plastic pvc pipe with 4 holes drilled out, and attached it with hose clamps in between the return hose, this let enough air out to make a considerably louder noise, but also returned most of the metered air. After doing this my idle was a little lumpy for a day but the computer soon learned and compensated for it, havent had any problems since.

just wondered what you definition of a BOV is? :-?
is it the same as a dump valve?
