i just purchased a white 89 dodge colt gt.

the car has "dohc turbo" on each door...and the stickers don't look OEM but i didn't ask the previous owner about the stickers...

also..the car has stanley clear corners...which i didn't think were stock either.

was wondering what the true specs were.

bill, my stickers are not in the same location on each side...as the driver side "dohc turbo" is like an inch higher than the passenger side. my dad measured them because he was skeptical the factory could get something like this wrong...

did all colt gt's come with the dohc turbo stickers...or did some come as an option?

i'm just wondering if the kid before me may have added them afterward...or if the mirage's came with the stickers and the colts didn't...

All 4G61t factory-powered Colts that I have seen (nearly a dozen or so) have all had the stickers.

Mirages do have different badging, however.

I'm with Bill on this one. The car most likely is not original paint and the previous owner wanted the stickers again but had to get them made up from a graphics shop and apply him/herself.

i think you're probably right...

i'm taking the stickers off when i get a chance...i'd rather not have any badging on the car.

what about the clear corners...while they are OEM, were they only offered on the colt gt's, or did the previous owner get them from japan or elsewhere?

like i said, they are OEM stanley clear corners...just not sure if they are usdm, jdm or wherever.

i assume you are talking about the FRONT corners, yes they come factory standard on mirages

in the US you can either modify them or have the real ones imported.

well ok then, the clear corners seem to be on the models after '87, as the earlier 3rd gen mirages came with the number plate in a different place as well
