You can run the 4G61 ECU. But I would get a 1G ECU, because you then can run higher boost w/o fuel cut. But then, a 14B will have its difficulties inducing fuel cut (too small). 450's are 450 ccm injectors. They come stock in the 1G 4G63T.

Edit: Did I already say you should take a look in the archives? I can recommend http://www.vfaq.com and http://www.dsm.org, too.

It seems to me that you're jumping into this a little too fast. Some of the questions you're asking are extremely basic which makes me uncomfortable with giving suggestions on what mods to do.

With the assumption that this is your first experience with a turbo car, why don't you buy the following mods: Boost gauge, manual boost controller, and an exhaust. Those parts are more then enough to blow your engine, so be careful with them (hint: don't boost over 10-12psi without an IC) Play around with those parts while you read as much info as you can from this site and http://www.dsm.org.

If you don't take that advice, then at a minimum, do ONE mod at a time. See what kind of effect that has on the car, then pick your next mod. If you do 4 things at once, then you'll never be able to debug problems.

go to http://www.diamondstarspecialties.com for the boost controller and boost gauge. Follow the same instructions for a 1G Eclipse to install.

call and talk to Mike, he has a mirage and likes to talk about them. I'm sure they have a boost gauge to sell.

thank you all i need now is a good price on the struts and a how to on the instalation of the ic

oh yeah my car steering wheel starts shaking like crazy when i get over 55 i think it might be the struts but i dont no, i had to replace both lower control arm a my tie rod end because the person i bought the car from bent both and broke the tie rod end i got the arms from a colt it had different mounting brackets but that shouldn't matter right. my cv boots are cracked and was wondering if the axels from a 1g would be better than the c/s/m or are they the same

p.s. jmauld you are my hero-thanks for the info

id go get your tires balanced.....right now my right rear wheel threw the weight that was on it(stupid pep-boys) and i have a little vibration. but before i replaced all my tires(i had 4 bald tires) as soon as id hit 55 i didnt feel so safe in it :-?

so all in all....go get your tires rebalanced itll help...unless you need new tires :-?

I was hoping that would fix the problem, however I bought four new rims and tires and it still shakes.

the main thing that would cause a vibration at those speeds are improperly balanced tires. i would take them to the place where you got them from and have them check them out, pronto. the struts themselves would not cause a vibration.
