I have a low idle while cold that sounds like its about to stall(hasn't yet though) that pretty much goes away once the car is warm, I saw something somewhere on how to check the idle speed controller but forget where I saw that, anyone have any ideas for me to check stuff?

What year is your car? On the 12 valve engines there is a screw on the throttlebody by the one that raises the idle. If your idle is set correctly, turn that screw in a bit it will raise the high idle when the AC is on and during cold starts. It adjusts the ICS motor on the throttlebody. Not sure on the older 8valve motors since they have a different throttlebody.

I adjusted the other screw then played a bit with both and it idles fine now, would like to find a procedure to set these correctly though. BTW it turned out the idle speed controler is working, was going up and down causing it to come close to dying then it would pick it up which would rev it up pretty good then come back to darn near dying again, it was hunting for what it wanted but never found it *shrugs*
