Post subject:  Spal fan wiring to washer fluid switch

So I bought a fan relay kit, I was having a hard time finding a ignition Hot that was convenient. I stumbled upon what I'm pretty sure is the washer fluid tank motor plug, perfect spot right next to the radiator and battery so no need to run much wire. Only problem is when the fan kicks on after reaching it's desired temp the washer fluid light comes on on the dash! lol. Does anyone know if there's a simple way around this? Could I loop the level sensor to make it think it's full or something like that? I would really like to keep this spot as I made a connector that plugs right in neat and clean. Worst case senerio I'll just unplug the light from the dash but I would rather not access that and risk cracking the nice cluster surround piece. :-k

Why not drive the relay kit from the original positive power wire fan ?
I don't understand your wiring goal...
For the low level light on the dash, just unplug the sensor level plug (open contact when full) from the washer tank.

It's unplugged but the light still comes on. I'm assuming it's on because I have the fan wire hooked to that harness.

Orange colored Plug?

IIRC that's the low washer fluid sensor. When it has current to ground it will light up the dash level indicator.

I found the radiator plug it's just that the washer fluid takes a large spade connector, the radiator will need a tiny spade or tapped into. Alright, thanks guys.

This is a good way to confirm that your fan is supposed to be turning on though. Kinda funny like that.

Update: don't use the washer fluid wire signal, it's not quite reliable enough and puts out less voltage which causes a problem with the relay and triggering. Just use the factory radiator plug even though it's smaller the voltage is reliable for a stand alone fan setup.
