While idling my revs pulsate from 600 to about 1200. When starting the car if I give it gas and let off (with clutch in and/or out of gear) it will die. While driving, after down shifting or in any sudden drop in revs will also cause it to die (with clutch in and/or out of gear). Even slowing down to take a corner kills it. I was wondering what you all think of this. Is this just an issue with my ecu? I was thinking of upgrading to DSM link.

Have you thoroughly checked for boost leaks? Does the car behave this way before it is warmed up?

Just did some searching and it seems this is a very common problem with a lot of variables. Would a dead ISC make a clicking sound? I think the problem may be the ISC, bad O-rings on TB, vacuum leak or the ecu.

Do a boost leak first. Then get some starting fluid and spray around the tb while running, that will check for biss/fiav leaks. Unplug the ISC and see if the reving goes away.

ECU's going bad, cause the MPI relay to click off/on randomly.
My symptoms on a bad ECU. Would stall out at idle or coming down to idle, then click back in 1-2 seconds later, and the motor would catch and idle back up.
Get it warm, and it would cycle like this.

Check into what the guys mentioned above.
If you have the ECU out, have a peek.
