Hi guys quick question. The stock 4g61t injectors for a csm are 390cc right?
What color are they?

I bought some dsm 450cc injectors and they have a blue top which is correct right?
the wierd thing is when I went to put them in my car i saw i already had injectors that are blue
so did someone already swap in dsm injectors?

thanks

Yes, stock is 390cc's for a 4g61t, and yes, 450cc's are blue top.

Here's a pic of 390's

What part number is on your ECU board and your MAF (May be inside the kidney bean air box)?

If you have blue top injectors and they are Denso injectors with the same shape as the one pictures above, then very likely they are 450cc stock 1G DSM turbo low impedance injectors.

Unless your ECU is from a 2L 4g63T or is EPROM 4g61t with a burned chip, you have the wrong injectors without having a 4g63t ECU, and a 1G MAF to match the injector size.

Only other possibility is that you have a secondary device like an SAFC or similar to piggyback the MAF signal and compensate for larger injectors than what the ECU and timing maps are expecting to see.

This begs the question I stated above about what equipment you have installed.

hey thanks for the answers guys i appreciate the verification

i bought the car this way running smoothly so i never really investigated further
it have a 1g dsm ecu for sure cuz i sourced it and dont know about the maf but it was running perfect before i removed all that for
my freshly built megasquirt ecu.

i was simply filling in the settings for required fuel and injector size on the megasquirt settings which reminded me about the blue tops
i noticed already installed the car. i just needed to be sure i was inputting the correct data. so the 450s are fine just a bonus to me lol
now i have an extra set

thanks again :supz:

Always nice to see another person running MS! Which board are you using?

Hi Tonus,
I just got started on my megasquirt adventure. I decided to go with the "diypnp" version.
I think itsa relatively new product at diyautotune. Basically its a microsquirt module with an adapter board that lets you jumper a bunch of wires to a oem mitsubishi ecu connector so your megasquirt will be plug and play with your original harness. So to answer your question its ms2 and I guess it would be version 3.57? Not sure on that.

im totally blown away on the amount of information to absorb with megasquirt. Ive been interested in megasquirt for years and the main reason I bouht this version is because it had a pretty well documented install from a gvr4 that I could copy. And thank goodness because this stuff is really complicated. I should probably start a build thread of my own to talk about this stuff and ask more questions but im glad you stumbled upon it.

if your willing I would love to be able to pick your brain more in time in pm's or email or whatever appropriate venue.

I'm actually not too knowledgeable about it. One of my best friends is a MS guru, and he basically set the car up for me and helps me with a lot of the tuning, but if you have questions definitely shoot me a PM and I'll try to help.
