I've been having a hard time finding a clear answer. I have my AEM gauge installed and working but I'm trying to find where to tap the blue 5v wire for logging boost in link. Where are you guys tapping to log boost?

You running Speed Density? Usually you log the MAP sensor's measured value.

Additionally: If you aren't on SD you can likely log your AEM sensor just like you would a MAP sensor.

Also, I thought it was the White wire that gets connected. The blue wire is for simulation of the stock o2 sensor and is serial/analog. I have the white wire connected in mine. Though it reads 1.2 lower than the gauge does. I need to make some mods to get it accurate.

He is asking about how to log an AEM boost gauge, not a wideband.

Not on SD. How do I go about logging like a MAP sensor?

What is the maximum pressure the AEM sensor will read? I very much think you will be able to log it as a MAP sensor since it is 5 volt sensor. You can use almost any of the unused inputs to the ECU.

It's a 35psi. gauge. So I'm assuming the sensor is 2.5 bar? I was thinking the EGR temp input would work great but we don't have one so I was trying to find another input that people use for tapping the logging wire to.

Okay, so it looks like I have to do this..

So ideally it looks like I have only IAT or BARO to use, which I can because I'm on a GM MAF. So it seems I can simply tap the boost wire into the Baro wire coming off my ecmlink GM Maf cable and then select Baro under Link inputs to log boost. Or tap Baro strait at the ECU? Pin 16.

1G ECU

EGR Temp Input (ECU Pin 15) - Not 100% compatible with some sensors, such as the AEM WB
IAT Input (ECU Pin 8 ) - see IAT/Baro Notes below
Baro Input (ECU Pin 16) - see IAT/Baro Notes below
Front O2 (ECU Pin 4) - Only usable when “Open Loop” option is selected (V2 or V3), or narrowband O2 simulation is enabled (V3 only).
Coolant Temp Input (ECU Pin 20) - (V3 only) - This will leave the car in “Open Loop”. “Lock Coolant Temp” must be selected, to work properly. Use only as a last resort and only temporarily unless you fully understand the issues.

IAT/Baro Notes

In order to free up the IAT and Baro inputs to the ECU, you must be running a non-Mitsubishi style mass airflow sensor. That can either be a GM MAF connected to the ECU with our GM MAF cable or it can be a GM MAF connected to the ECU through a MAF translator. Or it can even be while running speed density mode in ECMLink.

The point being that you can NOT log an aftermarket sensor on these inputs if you are running a Mitsubishi style mass airflow sensor (1G DSM, 2G DSM, EVO8).

In addition, if you are running a GM MAF with a MAF translator, then you must also make sure you have selected to Ignore IAT/Baro.

FYI: we do have an EGRT input, there's just no wire in the connector. I'm currently logging my WB through the EGRT input, on a stock Colt GTT ecu ;). Install a pin, and away you go!

Damn, didn't know that. Is there a place I can order the pin with pig-tail attached or something? Or did you just make your own thing?

I just pulled one off a spare harness I had.

Does the Colt ECU use the same connector/terminals as a 1G? If so, the Evo ECU website has the pins listed, and if you plug those part numbers into Mouser, you can get them there.

Yep, exact same connectors. 99% the same ecu too, although we don't have a boost gauge output, or any of the board mods for one.
