I finally got a wideband and I'm trying to figure out the best way to install it.

Should I have the bung welded near end of the downpipe by the firewall in 12 o'clock position or put it closer to the turbo?

Is it better to just replace the stock sensor in the o2 housing? I tried searching but am finding mixed opinions.

Can I just power the controller from the cigarette lighter acc or some other acc? The instructions mention connecting it to the battery and using a relay.

It's best to keep the sensor further away from the turbo. You get a more accurate reading, and the sensor will typically last longer. With that said, I run my wideband close to the turbo, and in 10+ years I've only had to replace the sensor once.

Unless you have some way to simulate the narrowband signal going to your ECU, you will need to keep the stock sensor in there and weld in a 2nd bung for the wideband.

iirc it has the same 5v output as the aem wideband.. this wire connects to the ecu and gives it the info it needs to not throw a code or change the tune on its own.. (u cut the o2 wire from the stock sensor @ the ecu.. and connect this wire from the wideband gauge.).. I also have ran mine in the stock location since 06 without any issues..

Leave the stock sensor alone. Weld a bung about a foot down from your o2 housing making sure it's on the side of the pipe, not the top or bottom, so that the sensor is horizontal.

Stock location here too, no issues.
