Is there another car that has a distributor that I can use? I think mine is bad and they are about $200.00. I was going to check the junkyards and see but wanted to look for other cars...I only know where 1 mirage hatch is and it has the distributor on the passenger side of the car. Don't think it'll work right? Mine is on the driver side by the timing cover. Anyway if anyone could tell me a year make and model to look for that would be awesome. Thanks, Keith.

149 from rock auto with cap and rotor..

but for used ones.. I think any 89-96 mitsu 1.5 are the same as long as you get one from the same location as yours.. (IE: end of head or back of head location)

What u need is a distributor from an 8 valve engine. Hyundias excels had those too IIRC.

What's wrong with yours.

Well it had been working fine for years and then it quit on the interstate. It was taken to the guys house, where it sat for about 5 days. It wasn't messed with during that time other than looking to see if the timing belt was off a tooth or something. It was fine. He then tried to start it and it started right up and ran for about 5 minutes then it died and has yet to start. I bought it from the guy like it was. He said it was the ECU and possibly the distributor. I tried an ECU from a 91 or 92 eclipse...I can't remember if it had flip up head lights or not :(...well anyway I got the ECU, injectors and MAF from it...it was the 1.8l. I plugged in the ECU and MAF but didn't put the injectors in and it would turn over and over and never fire. I don't think its the ECU but what do I know lol. I thought ICM or distributor. I checked for spark by pulling each plug one at a time and sticking a screw driver in it and holding it next to a ground. Got spark on all 4 cylinders. I checked fuel by pulling the FPR off the fuel rail and turning it over. Fuel gushed out of the end while I was turning it over. I'm not sure what it may be actually so I figured I'd go down the list. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, Keith.
