hey ive gotta 4g67 twin cam galant, i want more power out of it and know where a 4g61t is with ecu, would anyone know how hard this would be? is there a knock sensor on the 61t or can i use the 67 n/a loom with the 61 motor? i did think for a start i might just bolt the turbo, manifold, sump, all onto the n/a 4g67 and plug the 61 ecu into it and see how this ran?? any ideas out there? the dohc 67 just aint cutting it

4g61t uses a knock sensor. Please update your location in your profile. :D Welcome to the board!

You should be able to, keep also in mind that you have to wire in the injector resister box too. It might be easier to swap the loom with a 1st year gvr4 one. Or study the FSM of both the turbo/non-turbo schematics. There might be more info on the gallant boards though for a strait forward article with pics. In that case, Google is your friend. One thing that might help you is that most mitsus have very similar engine side wiring for similar engines. Be brave :P

yeah i am only just learning about these so called resistor boxes, so unsure how im gonna go with that a, think i might just bolt everything up to the 67 and find some 63n/a injectors and put them in an see how it goes

Just do it right, there is no reason to blow up a perfectly good engine by under fueling it.
