Hello,

Last week I bought a stock 4G63t 6 bolt engine from a original GVR. Everything is taken apart.
I also got a additional cyclone and a additional cylinder head.
Becouse all the parts like ECU, 14B turbo, ... are stock from GVR, I also want to build it with the original parts in my 3g colt.

My questions:

1. Is the compression like the 4G63t in 1g DSM, 8,4:1?
2. the cc of the cyclinder head is like the NT 47cc?
3. Only the pistions make the lower compression, or also cylinder head gasket?
4. One cylinder head is marked on the side with 2.0 and the other with G 6, does anybody know why (the seller doesn't know wich cylinder head is the original to the block!
5. one pair of the camshafts is marked with a C at the end face, and the other pair has no mark?
(I know the camshafts marked with C were build in NT engine) Have the turbo cams now mark?
6. I got no injectors from seller, are the original 450cc?

Thanks
Patrick

1. The original 1G DSM engine CR is 7.8:1
2. After a little research, it seems the NT 4G63 head is the same except cams. That would mean the CC is the same. I thought there was a difference, however.
3. Head Gasket should be the same as a NT. Pistons are lower compression in the turbo
4. Can't answer for sure, but I believe I've seen both the 2.0 and G6 on DSM heads. I'll check my spare heads at home.
**Edit** Check out this thread: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie- ... -head.html
5. I can get you an answer later. DSM camshafts have several lift profiles though, based on turbo, NT, automatic, manual and year.
6. Yes, 450cc blue tops in 1G engines.

It comes from an original Galant VR4 (perhaps I've got luck and the seller get the original chassis number)

Ok thanks a lot!

1. ok the original DSM CR is 7,8:1 (is it also with the Galant VR4?)
2. What I found when research, it seems to be all 2L 6 bolt heads have the CC is 47cc. So it seems to be the only difference betweet Turbo and NT are the cams
3. Ok, only the pistons make the lower compression!
4. I think both heads are from 2L 6 bolt engine. If the only difference are the cams I only have to know wich cams are the original turbo!
5. In Germany most of the cams in 4G63 NT 6 bolt engines are marked with C. My research says turbo cams are other to NT cams, so I think the will have an other mark than C ?!?
6. 450cc is 1G, also stock in Galant VR4?

Not all Gallant VR4s are the same. What country did the engine come from?

I don't know. When I get the chassis number I will know it.

Ok, situation changed!
Today I checked the parts again I buyed!
At the first time I looked at the turbo, I didn't see what I have!
Today I was wondering about the fins and checked the numbers of the turbo.

So I didn't have a 14b, I've got a big Evo 3 16g!
(Sorry, but turbo is new land for me, so I didn't saw it the first time)

But now I think, I have to use a other setup than the original GVR4 Setup with 14b.

Me biggest problem will be the ECU. I don't know if something was changed on it, or if is it original and wich injector size is used.
The number is MD143438.

Still no idea what county the parts came from? Only US GVR4s came with the 14b turbo. Others came with 16gs.

According to the seller the car comes from Germany. Is it possible?
