Hi everyone

Trying to fit 3000gt front brakes on my 1990 colt.
I have heard that there is somebody that makes up a plate to make them fit.

Or

Dose anybody know anybody that has the plates and made I could get some pics.

If anybody could help me out that would be great.

Thank you ppl.

Are you talking about the calipers from the TT stealths/3000's or the na ones? I know they sell brackets for the dsm's and it would work on the colt too but you'd have to use some spacers and drill the rotors for 4 lug. I'm pretty sure you'd need to upgrade the master cylinder too.

You'd need to run 17" wheels with the TT upgrade.

I'm wanting to use tt 3000gt ones there are big 4 pots.
Sould pull up the car good. Yer that's fine I was thinking of changing the m/s to the tt 3000gt one anyway so it's the same.

Ive got 17" wheels alrdy but I want to run work xd9's (in black on a white car should look gooooood :finga:)

I know this mite be a silly question but what's DSM.

Diamond Star Motors, we refer to all 90-99 Eclipses, talons and lasers as dsm's although more cars came from that plant. Search around on dsmtuners and you will see the brackets for sale. I think some 16's may clear the TT brakes but I'm not positive. I'm sure it depends on the offset and the design of the spokes.

They have a section dedicated to braking and suspension I believe. I would start there. Also it would be wise to upgrade your front knuckles and hubs. The stock cars have the captive rotors so the 4 bolt heads sticking out will interfere with the larger 3000gt rotor. Search on here for a thread by Coltsfan, he goes into detail about how to use the knuckles and hubs from a 92-96 Colt Vista, Mitsubishi Expo or Eagle Summit wagon. These also use the larger sealed bearings so they are a better unit all around IMO.

I would also suggest looking at the GVR4 brake option. There is a writeup in the archives and will be just as good for what you are likely to use the car for, and will not require 17 heavy rims to clear them either. 8)
