Heres my question... Is this the right mount for dropping a 4g63 in a 3g summit? Is it installed right side up? ![]() |

That looks like a stock 3g mount installed upside down. You'll need to drill a hole to make the stock one work. |

Is that a 1.5L block? Where it mounts to the block will be stepped if so, the turbo mount will be flat. Like he mentioned, you can add some metal to make the mount sit flat on the 2.0 block and then redrill the hole where it needs to be. |

The block in the pic is the old motor from my GSX that I'm swapping into the summit. The mount pictured would be the rear mount. I had a terrible time trying line everything when I attempted to drop it into the summit which makes me think that have the wrong mounts or have them installed incorrectly for the swap. |

Does anyone know where to drill the hole also where to put the metal so it can be flat? I'm having the same problem. |

What hole are you talking about? You can use the stock 1.5 mounts front and back, the elantra/61t mount on the drivers side and modify the trans mount for the step that a dsm trans uses. |

Would anyone mind snapping some shots of their mounts (incar) to verify this, I still can't get the front and back mount to line up. Are your front mounts stamped with the numbers "346" or "347"? |

They are a PITA to get to fit but they will work. Best tip I can give you is to have all the mounts loose and support the engine with a picker so you can wiggle it every which way. If you've filled/urethaned any of the mounts, you'll be in for a harder time. I suggest doing the front and rear mounts first, then the timing side, then the trans. |

The 1.5 rear mounts have to be modded slightly to work. If you're looking for a bolt in deal grab one from a 92-95 elantra or a 1.6 csm. The easiest way to drop the engine in is to remove the crossmember and hang the engine by the t-belt and trans mount. Then wiggle the crossmember in place and insert the bolts. |
