Do you have power to the connector at each seat belt motor? Use a test light across the power (+) and ground (-) terminals, just make sure the two wires DO NOT TOUCH each other when doing this, or you short out the fuse. Speaking of which, do you have Battery voltage at the fuse, and will a test light illuminate at both terminals at the top of the fuse for the seat belt motor circuits.

Shoot i appriciate you trying to help but i have no idea how to test or where to test anything you talk about. I know the fuse that says belts down by my left knee is never blown. Maybe ill try to buy and put another seatbelt ecu in, maybe this ones burned out too. Old one was fishy smelling badly. Thanks alot for trying to help i dont want to sound unapriciative because im not. I just need to get this fixed because it stuck forward and the other one back but that makes me without any seat belt and in cali this isnt a good idea cause cops allll over the place. Charlie.

I'd figure out how to apply power to move it back then forget about it. Just flip the belt over your head when you want to use it. I've been using the flip method for years and it always passes inspection here in Missouri.

I found the wiring diagram for the seatbelts somewhere here (always a great source) awhile back:

theres a module near the ebrake, its visable under the the plastic center console, that controls the seat belts. mine goofs up too had to unplug it cause it was draining my battery overnight.

A module or the silver ecu for the seatbelts? I did replace that one but it was from another car so let me go and get another one at the junker and replace it again. I appriciate your guys help, California cops are not too friendly, haha. I wonder what ecu's are the same for what cars and years as are's? Charlie.

Having this same problem with my Colt. No movement out of either side. Going to check the module under the center console first and go from there. Any one else have experience with getting their belts working again?
