Hi there,... soo.. im thinking about getting a 1g talon and a 4g 95 mirage and doing a swap. What difficulties would i be going through and would it just drop in? I was doing a 1g swap to a 3g csm a year ago but never got to it and had to abandon it. I can get both cars for 1200. I have 90 harness, engine mounts for a 1g motor to 3g csm, harness adapter ( i think its was only made for 89-90 talon years as the other years are a bit different ) from the previous failed project.. Now would my mounts that i have fit for this swap (94mirage+1g4g63) Also would i be able to use the 1g engine harness instead of the 4g harness or have to mock up the 4g harness, if so which/what plugs/wiring would i be looking into? thanks

The 4g cars are completely different in every way except that the engine and trans are still on the right side so at least the engine/trans will work. However you will need custom mounts and a different adapter harness for your 1g engine harness. If you're not planning on making a ton of power you can source a 1.8 F5M22 trans from a 93-96 csm and it will bolt to the 4G63 if you use a smaller na flywheel/clutch combo. I believe you can use a 2g dsm t-belt mount along with the stock mounts from the 1.8 trans and it will all bolt right in.

If you want to use a 1g dsm transmission you will have to make custom mounts and roll stops for the front, rear and top transmission mounts. A 2g dsm trans will bolt in but then you have to source axles from a 92.5-94 fwd turbo dsm since they have the larger inner axle stubs.

Hope this helps! Also if you are planning to do a manual swap I have a rare set of LS hydraulic pedals laying around should you need them. 8)

Yes you can use the 1g engine harness, I make a plug and play adapter if you need one.
