Ok I been in the DSM game for a very very long time but in the 11 years of playing with DSMs I'm finally going to pick up this bad boy ....

Image

Ok well the car is a shell with no engine but it will have everything else and will be doing the 4g63t swap, so I have a few questions on this seeing it's a GT turbo model like I wanted. I might know some of the answers already but I have to make sure of it.

Can I use the original engine harness or do I have to use a DSM harness and what year? Is there a wiring adapter?

The stock 4g61t trans should bolt up to the 4g63t and hold power?

Can I use the DSM clutch? I have a ACT for a 4g63t

That's all I can think of now, if there is anything else I'm missing please feel free to let me know. This won't be my first rodeo but I'm pretty sure it going to be "easier" from the swaps I've done in the pass with the hyundai's seeing this is a original GT model.

Thanks guys, any info is going to help me out big time!

The stock 4g61t trans should bolt up to the 4g63t and hold power? YES and you have a short ratio benefit with a KM210
Can I use the DSM clutch? I have a ACT for a 4g63t? YES but you need a 6 bolt FWD flywheel

You can use the factory harness as long as the throttle body, cam sensor, fuel rail, coil pack, and igniter are 90 style, or you will have to do some wiring( just like 90 vs 91 and later dsm) I think you have to use a dsm mas also, to use your clutch you'll need a large diameter turbo style flywheel.

Well here is the deal, the guy that has it wants to trade me for a 2g awd talon that I have so right now I'm waiting for the title in the mail so we can do the deal. Once I get it I'll put it on the REG list

Also thank you very much for the info, I have ALOT of 90 parts so that is no issue. I'm just trying to get this thing and drive it for the summer

I never knew that. You'd think somebody would have already tried importing one.
