Hello!

I am planning to replace all vacuum hoses on my car which is 1997 Mitsubshi Mirage DE 1.5L NA Automatic (California Emission) ... what is the hose size (ID) that will fit my car? I called the dealer and aftermarket stores and nobody knows. Searched via Google...no luck :-k

Just figure out which ones you want to replace and snip a small sample off and take it with you to the parts store. Or just pop your hood in the parking lot and pull one off. They sell it by the foot and its super easy to replace. Just cut the new one the same length as the old one and you're done.

@89Mirageman: Thanks for your suggestion!

After showing the hose from the car, the guy at auto parts store wasn't exactly sure himself but he recommended 5/32 inch (4mm) ... hopefully it's a good size ... I wonder what happen if you're one size bigger or smaller than original size?

I was going to say 4mm, because I have a bag of 4mm hose right next to me; leftover from a Chev van repair.
That being said, I wish I had eyes in my tool box at work because I have line there that was used for vacuum line replacement on my Colt.
