So I finally got my blowing air back and running but I have no heat... I'm not too familiar with how it all works. Can someone please explain?? I work nights and the drive home is always cold lol

What is your engine temperature running at?

Here's the thing on that. I broke the wires to the coolant temp sensor the day I fixed the blowing air. It normally runs at 183. I'm gonna splice them back tommorow but should there be coolant lines running to the heater core? I looked briefly with a flashlight and didn't see any. I could have missed them but not sure until daylight. Could that be my problem?

Yes there has to be coolant lines to your heater core. on the water pipe near where the lower radiator hose goes on, there is a pipe that goes to the back of the engine, it runs on top of the bellhousing. at the end of it should be a medium sized rubber hose, about 5/8 inch, follow that, it should go to the firewall, and right beside it there should be another coming out of the firewall, follow it, it should go to the back of the thermostat housing on the side of the head, if it only loops from the water pipe to the t-stat housing and never goes to the firewall, your heater core is bypassed.

Take a look at your tstat housing and find the looped hose someone probably did. I'm betting that the heater core leaked and this was someone's cheap fix so be prepared for that.

Yup that's what it was. The hose was being re circulated. Should I fill the heater cre with water and coolant first to test for leaks? And it would probably make reducing air in the system too right?

It might not leak, it could just have been bypassed. Maybe email the PO, he was on here quite a bit, maybe he still checks in.
You can probably fill the core most of the way just by filling one hose going to the core. It has been a while since I looked at how they are routed though.
You can just attached them and run the system with no rad cap until it fill up. Just turn on you heat setting to max, whether that matters or not, it never hurts.
Once the bubbles stop and/or the thermostat opens up, then you can put the cap back on and fill the overflow to the cold mark. Double check it after a test drive.

Take a hose to the core first though, just to be sure that it flows and is not blocked. Try flushing both ways and if nothing but clear water comes out, then there you have it, it is flowing, just be sure to check for leaks once the system is hooked up and under pressure.

Just did the heater today and it works like a dream!!! I'm so happy. And I fixed all but 1 minor boost leak and replaced my ISC motor. It's like driving a new car. She idles at 750 beautifully and pulls harder than ever before
