Ok here is the thing.. We are restoring one GTi that has Hyundai 4G67 (1.8 ) engine..

The transimission that we found on the engine is this:

No other markings on it.. I know other GTis came with F5M22, very short transmission, but this one has only F5M2 markings..
Friend told me that he only drove it for few milles to hes home and he got a feeling that it was very long transmission.
We are allmost at the end of putting it together, so we will try then.

Here are some of the pics

There should be more markings on it, look on that large plate between the top mounting bolts where it bolts to the engine and see what it says. I'm betting its a KM205

Look where the bolt bolts "if you follow the edge of the bell housing" to the front of the block, there should be numbers stamp on there as well. Its more then likely cover in used oil.

Does this make any sense?

Ill try to upload a picture to make it clear for you.

Check this area. Its usually cover in oil. Clean that area off and there should be numbers there also.

May I ask what markings are on the passenger side of the cylinder head? Curious to see if the 2.0l or 1.8l or 1.6l is marked there.

Km206 sounds right as I've seen many n/a 2l engines mated to 206 trannies.

4G61 NA motors in the high end CSM's were equipped with the KM206. I think this is probably where this is headed.

Oops, meant to say km206, not 205. Also what does it say on the tag on the firewall? The trans could be the original one.

I know its hardo to get to but it will always be on the underside of the transmission between the bell housing and the case

Replacement transmissions sometimes lack model specific identification.
