I've never took an auto apart but most of the time the turbo trans will have stronger parts. Depending on your goals hp wise the non-turbo might be okay for yu.

What Im trying to get at is that if I can put all the turbo trans rebuild parts in the nonturbo casing and run it, or if the internal parts are not compatible

Yeah, those guys are garbage. When I had my Subaru Legacy 2.5GT, IPT sold an upgraded valve body for $795. One of the board members purchased their service to get his valve body worked on, put it in the car, and really didn't feel much of a difference. A year later, his auto started slipping so he decided to build his own performance trans. He purchased a second trans and in the process of building it he compared the two valve bodies. The ONLY difference was 1 beefed up spring to change the line pressure. FOR $795!!!!

Well, the Legacy's trans computer is programmed to override the valve body line pressure whenever it read too high through the use of solenoids and magic....... long story short, it was a waste of money. Multiple members logged line pressure table and compared them to members with the IPT valve body and they were the same.
