I cut this part off a DSM bumper, and glued it to my original bumper using 3M #08609 Super Fast Urethane Window Weld. I little trimming around the license plate, and some two part urethane bumper body filler, and there it is. So far it's been holding for several years with no sign of cracking or failure.

Ha ha ha, you have my permission, it's not like it's patented or anything.

I had too shorten the part behind the wheel too. I just cut a couple inch strip out of the middle on each side, and glued cut out piece onto the back with the urethane window weld. After it hardened, and was on the car, I filled in the crack with epoxy urethane bumper repair filler.

If you zoom your browser, you can slightly see the line where the filler has shrunken over the years.
