This may sound stupid? But HOw do you check fuel inj impendance? Do the injectors need to be physically hooked up to the wires in the car or can you just check them off the car?

Set your multimeter to ohm's setting 2k or 2000, which ever, and just put the red and black picks on the injector clip tabs. In or out does not matter.

That sounds pretty easy then, I took them to pep boys to see if they could do that and they said the injectors had to be on the car to test them..

Anything beyond strapping an alternator/starter to their testing machine is too advanced for counter monkeys.

Actually there are exceptions and some of those guys know their stuff. But for the most part you are correct. Either they have no idea what you're talking about or they're too lazy to do it. :P
