No they do not. There is a large amount of information regarding using the DSM/GVR4 knuckles on the Colt chassis available in other threads.

Newbie tech is the one place where someone can go and ask these questions, without searching.

I apologize.

To use the DSM/GVR4 knuckles on a CSM chassis you have to use DSM/GVR4 CV shafts. You can use Colt GT/ Mirage Turbo CV shafts but I have personally seen the two-piece shaft fail due to the CV being too short. The DSM/GVR4 CVs are the correct length for the swap however.

I don't think that's true at all. The GVR4 knuckles for sure bolt right on to a Turbo CSM. I had them on my car, with stock 1.6 axles, and it worked fine. You have to have a way to correct for the positive camber those knuckles give you (i.e. camber plates or slot the struts, NOT camber bolts). Am I totally mistaken here, or are we talking about something else?

You are correct Tonus. You have to "slot" the two holes where the strut attaches to the knuckle or get camber plates.

I had the two piece CV pull apart and break when making a tight turn once. On closer inspection the 1.6 CV was shorter than the DSM/GVR4 CV allowing the truneon to pull out of the cup that is bolted to the block. I replaced the CVs with DSM CVs and never had the problem again.

Weird. I never had an issue using the 1.6 axles.

I thought the 1.6 axles were only too short when using the Elantra LCA's (which are ~ 0.75" wider than a turbo Colt) and had nothing to do with your choice of upright.

They might be. My car was an original turbo car, so I was using the factory control arms. Worked awesome for me, daily-drove it like that for well over a year.

Mine was also a factory turbo car with OE LCAs. If I remember correctly there was a difference with how the "spindle" end of the CV sat against the wheel bearing that made a difference in the length. I don't have CSM CVs to compare with the DSM CVs at the moment.

It also may have been a fluke occurrence and my mind imagined the length difference to justify the failure of the CV on a 250whp car.
