went to get my alignment done yesterday and the mech says i need to replace both control arms... i figured as much because since i had the car it needed an alignment...SO, my question is: other than colt control arms, what else can i use? one search turned up they fit, BUT come with toe out issues thanks |

There is no toe out issue on mine I have 94 elantra control arms on my one car and 93 on the other. Both align to 0 toe and 1.75 degrees negative camber its nice really give me fantastic turn in very neutral very little understeer with my current setup... |

i had the toe out issue, i even adjusted the tie rod ends within 1/2" of the end of the threads and still had severe toe out, couldnt figure out why, I threw my old control arms on and problem solved, but nobody else has had this problem as far as i know, just be careful. |

I'm wondering if somehow my tierod ends have more thread than yours did. I know I replaced them a couple years back with just "off the shelf" stuff... Do you have power or manual steering? I have power just wondering if thats the difference...

This is sounding close to my problem. I can not adjust toe and my tie rods ends are almost all way out. See my posts in Inner Tier rods thread. My inner/outer tie rods are same length as a few other people's. My steering rack (power) is same. I haven't tried replaceing control arms as yet or Struts, maybe struts are bent enough to F**k it up on me! |

I have a manual steering rack. That might explain things. |

As far as I know, my control arms are stock Colt ones. If I measure from the outer bottom edge of ball joint on bottom of control arm to the front bolt where it bolts to frame, it is 14" give or take a wee bit. I am going to try a new set of struts to see if I can cure my problem, it is driving me nuts |
