Well, I just got my colt and it's a 92. I've heard 89's are the easiest for the 4g63 swap, but I guess it will have to do. I was looking thru the archives and I didn't see much about 92's, so my question is this: Is there anything that I should know about the it? (i.e. placement of certain mounts, problems that 92 owners have run into.) Thanks everyone!

Try with www.mirageforums.net, they have more knowledge with CA0 series.

But keep on browsing through our board too, there are a lot of info about your colt too. :)

Welcome aboard! :)

Welcome to the board.....

FIRST things First.... PLEASE put your location

Second... when you say '92 there is a couple colt designs made then...
Which one is it? Is it the C50 style like the icon on the left top corner of the page??

I have a 1992 colt as well... but its the same style as the '89 turbo models....

What are the options on the car (I.E. manual tranny, engine size, a/c or no a/c, etc.)

With all this info, we will be able to help you ALOT more....

regards,
-Shawn

GOD &%!@ it took a while for me to get my car, but I finally got it delivered... The colt is a c50 bodystyle, no A/C, manual tranny, 4g15, and it's not running at this point. It sounds like the starter, so I might just try and push start it to see if I can at least get it to run. Thanks again everybody, I can't wait to start collecting parts and swapping them on!

Dan, is the car a 4-speed manual or a 5-speed manual? the 5-speeds are easier to convert, since they are hydraulic clutch, but its possible to convert the 4-speed as well.

I'll be buying a digital camera from a friend in a couple days :D so there will be plenty of pics coming up... with lots of different angles, of course
