Post subject:  4G67 GTi vs. 320TD BMW

Tonight i was cruising around.I was going slow until i had 2 Headlights of a little BMW Compact (E46 320TD 150Horses ´02)much too close in my Mirror.i was still cruising and waiting for the guy to pass me,but it dont happened. But he was still with his lights in my A$$. I drop into second gear and pulled up to 7K.The BMW was now 5 Cars behind me,but then he came again and definately wants me to race.So after 2 Kilometers we go right to the Acceleration Lane to the Autobahn. Now i pulled my Colt as hard as i could, but the Guy was only a half car behind me !!The Distance between me and him was exactly the same after i pulled up to 140Kph.Now I thought that he was much stronger than me,then i changed to the middle Lane,in Hope that he pass me on the Left.He did.Now i set my car right after him on the Left Lane and i was pulling all my 4G67 was giving to me.Now i was closing up to him!!! At 170kph i catched him,and then i was passing him with 195kph (with my small snow tires ...) :D
Ok,this was not a kill. But It was a hard fight against his very high Torque caused by his strong Turbodiesel. The only thing that i was indentifiying at his car was the GroupA Bastuck Exhaustsystem.I dont know of any other Mods.I hope there was more .....

Because this involves a BMW, I am interested...

I didn't know BMW put their diesel into the compact. I had never heard of a 320td until now. Unfortunately, we don't get any BMW diesels here at all. I think the only diesel we had was the E28 524td (with a TD04 turbo :D).

yeah its funtime. But sometimes very Dangerous too. Some guys can´t handle there Cars with HighSpeed. The worsest thing when i was starting to get wet Hands,i was racing with my uncles 911 PorscheTurbo on the left Lane with 285kph and an old Fool changed with his Mercedes C-Class to my Lane in Front of me,but he only ran maybe 130kph. Thank god that i was sitting in a Porsche, cause i never have seen better StockBrakes on the Road. This was my personal Brake-Practice Test :D
To kjmerkel69: This engine only came in the E46 Compacts (2001-2004)If you are interested in the BMW-Diesel Machines i can pm you a list of all German Spec BMW Diesel. There are a lot of them in various sizes.

I wanna live in Germany and try out the Autobahn! I also wanna live in Australia or New Zealand because of the Cyborgs and the steering wheel on the right side... but I don't want to leave my place bacause it's home to me, and I have the coolest Colt in the whole country! But not the powerfullest.... Damn life sucks sometime...

Anyways, BMWs are cool, all German cars are cool, but heavy and need a lot more maintenance then Japanese.....

I think they should make an american autobahn across the states. East to west coast. Would make traveling across the states much faster.

I know there are a lot of them in 4, 6, and 8 cylinder forms. I have heard nothing but good stories about them, especially the latest variants. Unfortunately, like I said, we haven't gotten any of them. Nor did we get any E46 Compacts, only the E36.

I am a BMW technician here in the USA so I know a lot about BMWs but not so much about their diesel power.
