This was no means a kill, but I figured I'd post it

Out driving the colt this evening, ran across a local guy in his 88-91 crx and we decided to give them a run or two. Both runs were pretty much the same, crx would get the holshot , then we were dead even after ~60 ft. 1st run I tried launching on with the 2-step w/antilag, netted in a bunch of wheelspin, 2nd launch it bogged due to only taking it to 2500 or so.

Here is the rundown on the cars:

CRX:

CRV b-20 block/b16 head
gsr cams
msd coil and cap
dc header
some sort of intake
apexi vtec controller
ladder bars? He may have had other little things.
carpet removed etc.

Colt:

4g61t
14b @10 psi/1g exhaust manifold
3" turbo-back
1g side mount w/gm maft blow through
dsmlink w/rough base tune af ratio at ~10.6:1
innovate lc-1 wbo2
act 2600
full interior

I was pretty happy with the runs, whatcha guys think? This was the 2nd time taking the car out(1st time was to tune)still haven't gotten the hang of launching it.

great runs, ive found that on a good set of street tires that 3k with no anti-lag(worthless in fwd without full slicks) is a good launch rpm. I still get wheelspin but not nearly as much as if i had it set higher. i guess the key is to have the car launch 500 to 1k(wherever it wont bog) before full spool so you can atleast get the car to roll out and not sit and spin. it seems difficult to do this though with the smaller turbo's i.e. 14b, 16g's. these are fun street turbo's with limited lag, my fuso hybrid hits full boost around 3.5k so its gonna spin regardless. I cant wait for slicks and 5.5k with anti lag activated.

That's pretty impressive. My CRX with my 1.5 SOHC VTEC was pretty damn quick so I can imagine that a B20/B16 build would have alot of torque along with about 170-190 HP so I'd say for you only running 10lbs you did pretty good. I mean your first gen B16 comes with about 160HP and hardly any torque so the B20 block would eliminate that. They pull hard out the hole too. My buddy's EG8 would rip with his hybrid motor too and that was a B18C1 and B16A1 head. I'd like to see a video of your car in action so I can get a good idea of what I'm expecting in the near future as I'm going to be running a similar setup as you except I'll be running a 2g MAF and hopefully DSMLink if not AFC. Keep up the good work.

I know, I haven't been able to sleep at night ever since. I really thought the mighty colt was invincible with that big 14b on 10 lbs of boost :yawinkle:
