This happened a few months ago, but I forgot to post on here. I had just broken in my new clutch and done some tuning. It was time to race my friend on his bike. I had been wanting to race him for a long time. I only had the car tuned to 22psi, but I figured it would be close at least. We went from a 40mph roll first. From 40 to 135ish he pulled about 3 lengths on me. We tried 65mph rolls and by 120mph he pulled about a car and a half on me. I was still pretty happy with that considering I knew that bumping up the boost 5-6psi would probably make up for that difference for sure. Here's the vehicle info: Bike: '01 GSX-R 750 with exhaust and -1 front sprocket. 16,000 miles on motor. Me: '93 AWD Mirage. Mostly built 4g63t (1g rods, wiseco pistons, HKS272's, no head porting), FP3052, big FMIC, 100 octane I would have gone for a rematch after more tuning, but I started having electrical problems and I got busy with school and work. Then, recently I was driving the Mirage and some one pulled out in front of me :'-( Totalled, but no damage to the engine or fmic. A new Mirage is in the works with a 2.3 stroker and 75lb/min+ turbo. |

Sorry to hear about the wreck. A 750 is a fast bike, don't get down. Pics? |
