well, you may thing this is pathetic, but it was my first good kill. me (200 lbs) and my friend (265 lbs.) were cruising, just having a little fun. We pull up behind the 98 ford explorer that my buddy knew and he said it had a super chip and headers running straight through. This thing was loud. we hear him roar pulling past us and i decide to keep up with him. I pulled up a little close behind him and i saw his finger "the bird" come from the drivers window. He waves me to pull up beside him. We both roll our windows down, and i hear him yell, "wanna race?" Of course im thinking, no way, im in an 86 dodge colt. I thought i would never had a chance. In my mind im thinking, why not, so the race started at 40 mph. I hear his 4.6L v8 roaring in my passanger window. 45 came fast and he was still at my window. i looked over for a breif second and saw his eyes get real big as he looked down at this boxy colt. I stayed right along side him until i thought id let him have it. I pulled away from him around 60mph and he knew that he was beat. my friend in the passanger seat was impressed that my junker colt held its own. it was a short race, but on the main street, i dont want to make any mistakes. I never got to talk to him, but i know hes ashamed of driving a FORD, all show no go, and losing to a 1.6L turbocolt, all go no show. Completely stock. it was fun while it lasted someday ill see him again, and let him know whos boss again. |
