I am looking to upgrade the intercooler setup on my mirage. I do understand there are most likely no kits that are CSM specific, but in an effort to avoid building a complete Custom setup, I was hoping there was possibly a budget 1g kit or similar that I could get away with just modding to fit or at very least use the intercooler with tanks and just make my own pipes.. I will be using a stock rad so it would have to work with that.. I have heard people using 1g vrsf kits, anyone have any experience with them? Thanks in advance for any input..
Pete

I'm using an old school 1g buschur race core and it fits great but does require cutting some of the sheet metal in the core support. The piping I am using was made specially for csm's.

I have a punishment racing one on mine. had to cut a little metal . I kept ac and all the lines. The only thing had to lose for now is the windshield wiper fluid bottle. I have to get my interior together before I finish under the hood.

Windshield washer bottle goes when you cut the radiator support on the right side, but if you go under the front frame/rad support (with smaller diameter tubing) you won't need to lose the bottle.
I cut my support and fit a pair of 2-1/4" pipes beside my condenser/radiator, so no more washer bottle .... for now.

You can also remedy the windshield washer bottle by picking up a spare csm coolant overflow bottle and drilling a hole for the motor and grommet. It's much shorter and you can mount it right beside the original overflow bottle. I did this on another members car when installing a FMIC last year.
