Post subject:  Where to get a brake proportioning valve?

After replacing quite a few parts I finally narrowed down my braking issue, turns out the proportioning valve has gone bad. Has anyone attempted to clean one or know where I can get one? Or is there other cars that share the same part? I'd like to keep it a bolt on affair instead of going aftermarket...

Part numbers are: MB316180 or MB699640

http://www.Amayama.com

They are AUS based, but they get parts from either Japan or UAE.

Takes a couple days to fill the order, and let you know what is available.

From there, assuming they are available in one place or another, it will get shipped and arrive in good time.

Otherwise, you may have to try a European order solution.

Coltixim posted in a rather large info thread we started about brake systems recently, and he posted some good numbers with balance values.

You could try cleaning it out, and it would be cool to see if anything can be removed from the inside of the unit.

I haven't had one in my hands recently, so I can't say off the top of my head.

I suspect a unit with new springs would be best though.

Shoot me a PM, I'm wanting to get a spare to use when my brake system is pulled down for the multi piston front setup.

I actually found it on eBay. they have it listed as mb699662 but that's clearly a misprint. the description has the correct part #. he has 3 left and they are new mitsu oem. I offered him 15 bucks and he took it... score :supz:
