Well have logged a couple hundred miles on my 4g63t, tuning is going pretty good, letting the MS take care of most of it. The turbo I'm running currently is a Garret straight T3 from a older ford 2.3 with a 60 cold and 48 hotside. With the stock 4g turbos is it very easy to get into boost when leaving say a stop light? I find it almost impossible to not make 2-5# while driving easy. It's just been so long since I've driven a 4cyl car with a stockish sized turbo without a good bit of lag it seems weird.

They boost up pretty quick until you slap on a bigger turbo. My old 14b was instant full boost, kind of miss it.

That turbo is tiny, probably smaller than the stock 14b, so it's not surprising that it would always be spooling.

It looks huge next the the junked 14b I have out on the garage, I do have a 63 exhaust housing I can toss on it and see how that does. Rather keep it small than stick one of my bigger turbos on.

The housings might look bigger, but I'm pretty sure the wheels are smaller or at least a similar size to the 14b. Putting the .63 a/r housing on would help a lot, as the .48 is tiny and will choke off the 4G63 big time
