Which color is the correct color to tap into for the stutter box? Blue or black?

Either one is fine. Ground one side and the other goes to pin 104.

Ended up using the blue one and grounding the other one, leaving it plugged in and unplugged made no difference for whatever reason, still able to start the car without the clutch in.

You have to manually send the other wire to pin 104. It is a 90 ecu thing.

Yes, it's wired to 104. Mine doesn't seem to care about the clutch and uses the VSS signal instead for NLTS and stutterbox.

Have you metered the switch to make sure it is making contact across the switch when the clutch is depressed?

Hehe what a small pain in the but problem, I kinda dislike the clutch safety, why dont you just say screw it and run no safety? Do you leave it in gear w/ ebrake on a hill. I respect you wanting to fix the car right though.

Didn't meter it. Everything seems to be working as it should so I'm guessing at it working.

Sunchaser, I never had it hooked up, it's only being re-purposed to get my stutterbox and NLTS to work.

Side note:

Is this the trick to bypassing the clutch switch for our 1989 CSM's?

What is the complete process for the clutch switch mod?

I don't think it's ever been posted here, to the best of my knowledge.

To bypass the clutch switch it it just like the other dsms and galants. Just simply unplug it.

But for dsmlink's NLTS it could not be more simple, ground one side of the clutch switch connector and send the other to pin 104 on the ecu. Literally that simple.

It is also the same for most custom .bin's out there as I've since found out with Ostrich.

Alright, I give up. It was working yesterday, all the code was good, the wiring connected...and now I jumped in for an around the block today and it bounces off the stutter even when rolling. This thing is driving me nuts.

I don't think stutter box cares about the clutch switch at least mine doesn't, only NLTS. For stutter you just set the MPH for it to disengage at if we are talking about Link.

Opened up tunerpro, set the stutter to 4500, surprise, it works. This car is making me question my car hobby.
