Hey guys
Recently i bought a couple of headlights with height control for my colt/mirage, and for a friend.
Those headlights looks the same as a JDM headlights but with the addon that you can regulate the height from inside the car.

Here is a quick video of how it looks from driver seat.
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=1433024713614967

Since we dont found any site or guide on how to conect them we have to open the motor and try to get how it works.
So i want to share this pictures info with you guys.

Thats my car with hi/lo hid 35w 6000k, and fog integrated with hid 55w 3000k

Yes, you can. I just purchased some a few weeks ago and love them. Very easy installation and no modifications needed. Here is the site i purchased from: http://www.carxenonhidkits.com.
They definitely are a major improvement over the stock headlights.

Our glass housing headlamps should never go anywhere near HID's IMHO.

I've used 4300K HID's in newer 2000+ model year cars, but would not dream of installing them on the 3G's.

Why do you feel that way?

Because HID's belong in a projector-style headlight housing. If they're not, they glare uncontrollably and blind everyone who has to look at them. It's quite obnoxious.

As Tim said, they tend to blind the shit out of oncoming traffic. They're also illegal in any car that didn't come with them from the factory but that depends on how smart the cops are around you.

Nelsolar, can you host that video on youtube or photobucket? I get a "content not available" error when I click that link.

Its kind of a stretch but with our stock housings and white light I don't think HIDS would be a legal issue even though it is for off road use only and technically illegal. I was in PA for 2 years and had HIDS with aftermarket housings in my Astro with 6ks and never was ticketed and was pulled over for many reasons sometimes just suspicion :)

Everyone has their own opinion. Let me just say, there are a ton of deer in my area and i'd like to see them before they decide to run in front of me. The stock bulbs just don't cut it, visibility wise. Also, it seems like a lot of people here drive around with their high beams on exclusively, which is even more blinding than the HID's.

BTW- we're cluttering up the OP's thread with useless opinions. Maybe this could be moved to another thread.
