After 2 years of no luck at junkyards and searching on here, I finally found a good gauge surround. I met a nice parts guy at my local mitsubishi dealer. I asked him about the surround, and he said $100 and there are 8 left in the country. I had to order one. Here is a pic with the part number, so 7 other people can get them easier.

Sadly that part number doesn't hit on "Amayama.com".
MB522750 from a JDM RHD model, does hit on Amayama.
Don't know if there are any parts behind it, but that market supports certain variations on the LHD USDM part number.
I wonder what variations from overseas will physically bolt in, and only have issues with the "devices" that plug into the switch locations.

There are four way hazard switches, fog lamps, rear wiper switches, possibly the grill mount driving lights, etc etc. Hmmm ....

Good to know there are some extras still out there.

Do yourself a favor and fill the inner cavity with some expanding foam or glue some supports inside.

Ok, I will great stuff the inside of the surround. Also, the car will now be garage kept. Not because of the gauge surround, but due to a new paint job.
