I am having a heck of a time trying to get my car started after three cranks I fooled it with the new 1000cc injectors . im using tuner pro and did the injector compensation and doubled my dead time from the stock 450cc injectors . but the car flooded immediately. dose any one have a bin they could share as a base for the 1000cc I could barrow? the injectors are Delphi not Rochester so dead time could be a little less ? thanks for reading .

Dude...no...don't double the deadtime, lol. The correct latency curve for your injectors should be on the injector site somewhere. If it's not available, set it to the stock 450cc latencies, get it running, and tune it from there.

These are the settings a friend uses with his 1000cc injectors:

3768
1824
864
552
360
264
168

I did leave it stock first didn't work :(. they are a denso style injector called smart fire . my hope by doubling the dead time was to at least get it to a point where it would quit flooding . I have tuner pro and the injector compensation "should be" working? I slid the scale all the way to 1200 and still flooding . each time I have to take the plugs out unplug the injectors and turn the motor over for a second to let everything air out . maybe if I tried manualy editing the hex @ 599F Im just looking for some one to share a bin. PLEASE??? the three things I have not been able to correctly implement for some reason are the extended fule map injector compensation and the ability to hold oFf open loop . one at a time or all three together it makes no difference and im really starting to question my understanding of all of this . dose some one here have a bin like that that they would be willing to share ? thanks

dead times I tried last are as follows
4.7v 4056.00
7.0v 2112.00
9.34v 1152.00
11.6v 840.00
14v 648
16.35v 552
18v 456

the dead time is in millisecond and again im using tuner pro thanks for reading :prayer:

Even with 1,000cc injectors the engine should not be extremely difficult to start with correct settings and a buttoned-up engine. Go over your vacuum lines again, check for leaks at the manifold and throttle body, check your base fuel pressure, confirm spark through the plug and correct firing order, and so forth. You will probably find something that is contributing to your difficulties.

that's solid advice . im running a coil on plug set up right now and I put the 450's back in it so I can get around and it runs smooth no issues . I will admit that the 43psi vs 34psi 1g regulator has may be different but still no reason to be rich . all things considered with excessive dead time low fuel pressure it should be to lean to run well . ill give it one more shot today when the drizzle here stops . I think my issue is something with the dxf in tuner pro ? that's why I would love to have an extra bin to compare mine to or a base bin I could load on the ostrich and see if it works ? and hey I really appreciate you taking the time to help me . I lost all the stuff I used to have on my old computer so im starting over from scratch with limited internet access.

If the car runs and drives with 450s and the only changes you are making are the 1,000s and associated tuning corrections then my advice doesn't hold up. I assumed you were starting a car for the first time after having recently reassembled. I absolutely agree with you that the plugs should not be fouling with such aggressive deadtime and the software set accordingly. Can you confirm that the changes to the injector parameters are in fact being saved in the ECU?

Broke4Speed hates this so I'm gonna throw it out there just to piss him off. Because he is Canadian after all...

LOL! :P

I don't HATE link, in fact I think it's pretty cool...but there are just so many other options out there that it makes no sense to always have it at the top of the list :).
