Use whichever one is lighter, which is probably the Elantra

2 weekends ago, my storage where I rent my 2 stalls caught on fire from a guy 3 stalls down. He was putting gas in his 69 mustang convertable and few drops fell on the old fashion light which started the fire. I was lucky that my 2g didn't burnt up but the hyundai was that lucky but 90% of is useable besides interior. The interior in bad shape, so the only way to save the elantra is a full drag car. Seeing that the car used to be mine and wanted to do the same thing long time ago I might get the chance again. I got a 1g fwd converting to auto, and was going to make it my drag car which I started to do. I don't know kinda tore between them 2.

I dunno, the Hyundai would make a "better" drag car due to less weight. But it has been in a fire. I'd go for the the car that hasn't been in a fire.

After talking with my buddy, I think I'm going to make it awd 5 speed and use it as a road course track car seeing that thompson speedway has a new track. Its only 1 1/2 hours away from me seeing that new england dragway is the same distance. Ill still keep my talon drag racing only, this is going to be fun, hehe.
