Not if you are using the factory transmission. All the non turbo stuff is too big for your stock trans bell housing.

Different bolt pattern/bell housing shape from what I know.

4g1X motors do not bolt up directly to 4G6X transmissions. IIRC.

I thought it was an n/a 5 speed I used to swap out the old 4 speed trans on my 1.5 liter. You should contact 89mirageman here and he will tell you what exact tranny options you have.....he sold me a 5 speed and flywheel/clutch assembly.
Definitely though...you are stuck with a 1.5 clutch/flywheel setup for now.

i guessed so.

but I have been hearing that they are doing in malaysia that they are using bigger or upgraded (not sure if those are clutch disc or flywheel?) and fit it in those 1.5 making large surface contact while improving shifting.

from what Ive heard they are using disc from the 63. but cant confirm if they can do really fit since i havent seen both side by side.

I stand corrected, some guys did use the transmissions out of the 4g15's, meaning the KM201 trans. Likely the KM176 Auto works too, but axle fitment is sketchy there IIRC.

You can have the flywheel lightened on the back side, but it does weaken it some, and leave less heat sink for the clutch plate assembly and pressure plate.
