It's fairly simple, there are the screws to remove the cluster surround (careful, they're brittle) and then there are a few screws hidden under the center vents and one to the left of the steering wheel, you should be able to see where the tab is once the surround is off. |

Take a flat head screwdriver and remove the pocket on the left side by the dimmer switch, you'll have to pry it out. Then there is a ghillips screw behind that once the pocket is out and one underneath the plastic part that the pocket snapped in to. Once that is out of the way and you unplug the dimmer you will see one of the bottom mounting screws for the bezel. Next remove the radio surround, two screws up in the top by the heat/ac controls and two more down by the ash tray. Once that is off and you unplug the cigarette lighter connectors you will see the other lower mounting screw for the bezel. There are two more screws in the upper part of the bezel in front of the cluster itself. Once the bezel is loose you have to very carefully unplug all of the connections to the buttons on the top. This is difficult because they are hard to get to and very tight and like someone else mentioned you can look at these bezels wrong and they shatter into pieces. The plastic gets very brittle over time. Once this is out of the way the cluster itself is held in by four more phillips screws and they are easy to find. Take those out and it pulls right out. Good Luck and do a how to while you're at it. |

Haven't forgotten about you mikbik, just haven't been able to get to my shop lately. Tip: Once you have the gauge surround off, use some kind of expanding foam to fill it in a little (I used gorilla glue as it expands into super strong bubbles) around the posts and the inside of the surround, it will make it a little stronger and keep it from shattering upon a feather drop. |
