I swapped the front axles out on my buddys 1g last weekend. The car shakes pretty bad under acceleration and turning. It seems to be coming from the passager side. I got the axles from napa. The axle has about 1/8th inch longer. The axle I pulled out was toast so I thought that's there the difference came from. Napa does sell a passager side axle that is 1/16 inch shorter should I pick that axle up and try it. Or try an axle from autozone?

The car is a 92 talon awd auto

I would try Advance Auto,I bought a brand new pass side axle from them for my auto GSX thats works great,and no core charge. Femco was the brand name,I believe.

I swapped from a dsm fwd 5 speed about a month ago to a awd auto (with welded center diff so its still fwd).. I used stock 1g dsm axles (read it on a diff forum that these work) and I havent had any issues.. was at the track and made 6 passes with no problems. the only diff is the intermediate shaft for the auto trans.

so the ones you got from your friend are either the wrong ones.. or somehow they got popped out of the cv when pulled from his car. if u can find someone with a spare axle i would try it to make sure thats the issue.

On drag radials.auto trans.launching @ 5 psi and no traction thru 2nd.

I replaced is blown out and clicking axles. I got the replacements from napa. The passenger side axles doesn't seem to fit.

There isn't an Advanced auto here in Spokane. We havr napa ,o'rielly's, and auto zone.
